Introducing the Brand-New Ray-Ban | Meta Smart Glasses Collection

Today, at a special event called Meta Connect, we teamed up with EssilorLuxottica to introduce our new smart glasses collection called Ray-Ban Meta. These smart glasses are a big upgrade from the earlier version, and they have some cool new features you’ve never seen before. They start at $299, and you can order them right now on meta.com and ray-ban.com. You’ll also be able to buy them online and in stores starting from October 17th.

Since we first launched our smart glasses with EssilorLuxottica, many people have used them to capture and share important moments in their lives. Whether it’s a music festival, a birthday party, or something as special as a graduation, Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses let you take photos and videos without needing to hold a camera in your hand. This means you can truly enjoy the moment instead of fumbling with your smartphone.

We didn’t just make a few tweaks; we completely redesigned these glasses. We listened to feedback from users like you and figured out what makes these glasses great, like their stylish design, hands-free use, and excellent audio. We also looked at what could be better, like the quality of media and comfort. We’ve made improvements and added some brand-new features that no other smart glasses have.

Here are the key improvements:

  1. Better Sound: We’ve put in new custom speakers with great bass, higher volume, and improved sound direction. This means better calls, music, and podcasts, even when it’s noisy or windy. When you record a video, the five-microphone setup captures audio from all around you.
  2. Amazing Camera: The new ultra-wide 12 MP camera takes better-quality photos and 1080p videos up to 60 seconds long. Whether you’re hiking or at an art show, your pictures and videos will look amazing. You can even send photos directly from your glasses with a voice command.
  3. More Power: The glasses run on the powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon AR1 Gen1 Platform, making photo and video processing faster. The new charging case is slimmer and holds up to eight charges, giving you a total of 36 hours of use.
  4. Stylish Choices: You can get these smart glasses in the classic Wayfarer style or a new Headliner design for a retro look. They come in Matte Black and Shiny Black, and we’re adding three transparent frame colors: Jeans, Rebel Black, and Caramel. You can also customize your glasses with over 150 different frame and lens options on the Ray-Ban Remix platform. Plus, you can use prescription lenses with them.
  5. Comfort and Control: We made the glasses lighter, more comfortable, and water-resistant. The touchpad works better, and we added sound cues to make it more responsive.
  6. Livestreaming: You can now livestream on Facebook or Instagram directly from your glasses. You can even see comments in your preview or hear them by tapping your glasses.
  7. Meta AI: We’ve included Meta AI, a smart assistant that you can control with your voice. Just say “Hey Meta” to get information, be creative, or control features. This feature is available in beta in the US.

So, these new Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses are packed with cool features and improvements to make your life easier and more fun.
