LG has introduced a translucent, big rollable OLED

LG has been known for developing futuristic and innovative technology since its inception, the latest big achievement of LG is world's first 77-inch transparent and flexible OLED display which was unveiled at the Society for Information Display (SID) conference in Los Angeles.

Company was working on transparent and rollable OLED displays for some time and introduced the prototypes of both the technologies previously. Now by combining both the technologies LG has made a great achievement.

The panel of this OLED is capable of standard Ultra HD resolution of 3840 × 2160 with 40 percent transparency and it can be rolled up to a radius of 80mm without any effect on its functionality.

LG Display executive vice president and chief technology officer In-Byeong Kang said in a statement LG Display is proud to have a pioneering role in the 50-year history of LCD innovations by introducing world-first and world-best technologies such as IPS

He further stated that, We will continue to create innovations in the display industry by establishing a new display paradigm with OLED technology and opening another revolutionary chapter of display history.
