Samsung Galaxy S11 will also drop 3.5mm Headphone jack like the Galaxy Note 10

As you all know that recent reports suggests that Samsung is removing the 3.5mm headphone jack from the Galaxy Note 10. The Galaxy Note 10 and Galaxy Note 10 Pro CAD design renders shows that there won’t be a 3.5mm headphone jack on the next flagship from Samsung.

Now it seems highly likely that next year’s S11 will not have a headphone jack either, and Samsung will have to compensate the subtraction of headphone jack by providing Bluetooth earbuds out of the box.

Samsung justifies the decision by saying that removing the jack allows a slimmer design and provides more space for the battery. Samsung is currently the only big smartphone maker that includes a 3.5mm headphone jack in the flagship.

Samsung have to give Galaxy Buds for free in order to make people comfortable with the change. Samsung already gave free Galaxy buds with pre-orders for the Galaxy S10 but people who bought it from retail had to purchase the Galaxy buds separately. While people who prefers wired headphones have to use the USB Type-C adapter that will ship in the box.
