Rog Phone 2 is a gaming smartphone by Asus. The first generation of the device was launched back in 2018. The phone is specifically designed for gamers. Rog Phone 2 by Asus is a competitor to other gaming smartphones such as Razer Phone, Nubia Red Magic and Xiaomi Black Shark.
The smartphone comes with a 6.6-inch Amoled 19.5:9 FHD+ display with 2340 × 1080 pixels resolution. It comes with 120Hz refresh rate that is considered to be the fastest available right now. The screen is protected by Gorilla Glass 6. The display has 10 points multi touch.
Asus Rog Phone 2 is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 Plus coupled with Adreno 640 GPU. In terms of storage, the smartphone is packed with 512GB internal memory and 12GB RAM. The Ultimate edition of the device features 1TB of internal storage.
The smartphone features a dual rear camera setup on back that is comprised of 48MP Sony IMX586 + 13MP lens. While on the front, it sports a 24MP camera for selfies. It runs Android 9 Pie based ROG UI with a choice of stock Android-like UI with ARCore support.
Asus ROG Phone 2 is fuelled by a large 6,000mAh battery with fast charging support. It has an optical under display fingerprint scanner for biometric security. The smartphone was launched in China in July and is now debuted in the UK and U.S markets for $899 that roughly translates to Rs. 140,000 in PKR.
