Honor 8X is nearing its launch, the company confirmed on a social media platform today. Honor posted an image that does not say much, but at least confirms the phone is really arriving.
There are a ton of details about the phone on TENAA, most notably its absolutely huge 7.12 inch 2,244 x 1,080 pixel display. With this huge screen size and 210 grams weight, you will definitely need deep pockets for this device.
The notch has become an inescapable fact of smartphone life this year first introduced by Apple in iPhone X. Theres a certain irony in how Chinese manufacturers often accused of always copying the iPhones designs are the very ones trying to differentiate themselves from the crowd. But not everyone wants or can afford elevating cameras and some seem to have a found another path forward. That is exemplified by the V style notch on the OPPO R17, OPPO F9, and now soon on the Honor 8X.
On the specs front, the device brings a 16 MP + 5 MP dual rear camera and an 8 MP front camera, a chipset from the Qualcomm 600 series with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage and an impressive 4,900 mAh battery. It will be running on Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box and will be available in blue, black, and red.
