Honor is holding an event to launch Honor Magic 2 at the Diamond Stadium in Beijing today. The launch is just going to happen in the next few hours, but still, Honor is busy teasing some of its specs. Recently, Honor has revealed that Magic 2 sliding design wont hinder it from using a protective case. The phone will come with a protective case in the box.
Zhao Ming, Honors president released a photo of Honor Magic 2 in blue color today. As of now, we almost know everything about Magic 2, thanks to all the leaks, rumors and official revelations that kept on coming. Still, there are some details which are yet to be revealed like pricing and availability.
Due to its sliding design, it is not possible to use the simple cases that we use for the ordinary smartphones, it needs a different kind of protective case. Honor has designed a dedicated case with an opening under it facilitating the sliding design.
Coming to the specs, TENAA listing reveals that Honor Magic 2 is going to launch with HiSilicon Kirin 980 Soc and featuring a bezel less design. It will be coupled with 8 GB RAM and 128 GB inbuilt storage. The phone will come with a 6.39 inch full HD AMOLED display having a resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels and a 19.5:9 aspect ratio.
In camera department, Honor Magic 2 has a triple 16MP + 24MP + 16MP camera sensors that will be placed on the rear side of the phone. While on the front, it will carry 16MP + 20MP + 12MP sensors.
Honor Magic 2 will be lit up by a 3400 mAh battery with 40W fast charging support. There will be an in screen fingerprint sensor with 3D face recognition. The phone will come with Android 9.0 Pie out of the box.
