Honor Play new update brings 4D smart shock feature and fixes several bugs

Honor Play, the company's gaming oriented smartphone, with GPU Turbo technology has now received a software update which further enhances the gaming experience. The latest update brings 4D Gaming Experience with Smart Shock. Honor Play updates version number is COR AL00 8.2.0.120 and is 327MB in size.

Honor Play one of the first smartphones to arrive with the GPU Turbo technology, by which, according to the company, the gaming performance has improved by 60%, while the battery life has been increased by 30%.

The latest update for the Honor Play actually includes two different patches. The first one (8.2.0.110) brings the latest Google security patch and GPU Turbo fix, the second patch (8.2.0.120) fixes the call recording issue and introduces a new 4D Smart Shock feature.

The 4D Smart Shock feature is initially available only for PUBG and Asphalt 9: Legends, but will soon be added to the other games. This feature adds dense vibrations that are tuned to work differently on different scenes and situations in the game.

Honor Play sports a 6.3 inch Full HD+ 1080 x 2340 pixels display. It is powered by the Hisilicon Kirin 970 SoC with Mali G72. It includes 4GB / 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. Tere is a dual rear setup 16MP primary lens with 2MP secondary shooter. The front camera is a 16MP lens with f/2.0 aperture. The smartphone is backed by a 3750mAh battery and runs on EMUI 8.2 based on Android 8.1 Oreo.

Honor will soon be rolling out the EMUI 9.0 update for the Honor Play which will be based on Googles latest Android 9 Pie and will feature added bonuses from Huawei too.
