President of Huawei's Consumer Business Software Dr. Wang Chenglu has announced that the company's next flagship Mate 30 Lineup will officially debut on the 19th of September. The Mate 30 and Mate 30 Pro will be powered by Huawei's own Kirin 990 processor. The Kirin 990 chipset is built using TSMC's 7nm EUV process, which will allow it to deliver better power efficiency from the previous Kirin 980.
Huawei Mate 30 Pro will come equipped with a 6.7 inch AMOLED display manufactured by BOE, boosting a 90Hz refresh rate. The Mate 30 series will have a wide notch similar to Mate 20 series that will house the front camera coupled with 3D facial recognition sensor. The Mate 30 Pro will be capable of 5G connectivity.
In terms of camera, the Mate 30 Pro will feature a triple rear camera setup comprises of 40MP primary sensor, 40MP wide angle lens and an 8MP zoom lens, all placed in a circular module on the back of the phone. The Mate 30 series will run on EMUI 10 on top of Android Q and the Pro variant will be fuelled by a 4200mAh battery.
