As we all know the biggest smartphone competitors right now are Apple and Samsung, improving their devices to take over each others market share, but there are other big smartphone makers that are in their own league. HTC and LG are among those high end smartphone makers who bring new technologies and innovative solutions to compete each other.
The latest Flagship offering by LG and HTC are G7 ThinQ and HTC U12 Plus respectively, both phones comes with powerful specs, great displays, and trendy designs.
With the powerful Snapdragon 845 powering both these devices, its likely to get similar great performance out of them. The U12 Plus has got a little advantage with 6GB of RAM. But we expect great performance from both in apps and games. The G7 ThinQs 3,000mAh battery is surprisingly great and provides a strong performance despite of its smaller capacity. HTC U12 Pluss 3,500mAh battery is a bit bigger and it is expect that the extra capacity will prove to be a strong contender in this fight. Theres QuickCharge 3.0 support enabled for both the phones, with the option to attach a QuickCharge 4.0 adapter. There is wireless charging on the G7 ThinQ, but not on the U12 Plus.
Display of both the phones boasts a great 1,440p screens. The G7 ThinQs screen is larger with a 6.1-inch LCD display with taller than average 19.5:9 aspect ratio while HTC U12 Plus sport a 6-inch Super LCD Display with standard 18:9 aspect ratio.
Now let's talk about the camera, The G7 ThinQ comes with a pair of 16-megapixel lenses one standard and one wide-angle. On HTC U12 Plus the dual 12-megapixel and 16-megapixel telephoto lenses really seems to take care of the business. both of the phones are capable of 4K video recording and slow motion of up to 240 frames per second. The U12 Plus can achieve 240fps at 1080p, while the G7 ThinQ seems to be limited at 720p.
Both of these phones are dust and water resistant up to an IP68 rating.
HTC U12 Plus has a slight edge in design, features and specifications but you can tell in comments about your opinion of which of these two is the better choice and why you think so?
