OPPO confirmed earlier this week that it will launch the successor to last year’s K1 in China on May 23. The Chinese smartphone manufacturer has shared the first official render of the upcoming smartphone that shows a notchless display with a pop-up selfie camera and a gradient back design.
In terms of design, the Oppo K3 looks like a mix of Realme X and Oppo Reno. Oppo has confirmed that the smartphone will come with a 6.5 inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with a resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels and 91.1% screen to body ratio along with DC dimming feature.
The smartphone will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 octa core chipset clocked at 2.2 GHz. In terms of memory, the device will come with 6/8GB of RAM and 128GB internal storage. OPPO K3 will come with features like Game Boost 2.0, Frame Boost, Touch Boost, and Link Boost.
OPPO K3 will have an in display fingerprint scanner. It will have a dual camera setup on the back. While on the front, there will be a pop-up camera which OPPO claims is a 16MP snapper that can rise up in just 0.74 seconds and has been tested over 200,000 times.
The device will measure 161.2 x 76 x 9.4 mm and weight around 191 grams. It will be fuelled by 3700mAh battery with support for 20W VOOC 3.0 fast charging technology. The smartphone will run on ColorOS 6 based on Android 9 Pie OS. It will come in White, Green and Purple color options.
