Oppo A5 goes official with 4,230mAh battery, dual rear camera and a notch

Renowned Chinese smartphone manufacturer Oppo has just launched its latest mid range phone, the Oppo A5. Having a notch and a dual camera setup on the back, the Oppo A5 has been already listed for pre order and sales are set to begin on 13 July. With a price tag of CNY 1500 (Approx Rs 27,000 in Pakistan).

The Oppo A5 comes with a 6.2 inch LCD with a 1,520 x 720 pixels resolution in a 19:9 aspect ratio with a notch on top. It is available in Mirror Blue and Mirror Pink colour options.

The phone is powered by a 1.8GHz octa core Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 with Adreno 506 GPU, paired with 4GB RAM. It offers a 64GB internal storage and a microSD card support of up to 256GB.

There is a dual camera setup on the back with a 13MP f/2.2 primary lense and an additional 2MP f/2.4 lense for depth shots and portrait mode. On the front, an 8MP lense is placed to take selfies. The cameras are equipped with artificial intelligence (AI). The front camera is capable of recognizing up to 296 facial features and is powered AI beautify features.

There is no fingerprint sensor on the smartphone and the device features facial recognition on the device. The power button has been placed on the right side and the volume keys on the left side of the device.

Backed by a 4,230mAh battery A5 promises excellent battery life, the device runs on ColorOS 5.1 based on Android 8.1 Oreo operating system.
