Notch was the last year’s trend that allowed smartphone manufacturers to increase the display real estate of their device. Pop up cameras trend seems to be the next big trend that allows smartphone makers to introduce full view display in their devices. Now latest leaks of OPPO’s upcoming Reno series suggests a unique and usual design for the pop up selfie camera.
The OPPO Reno will supposedly have a new type of pop up selfie camera that looks pretty much like a shark's fin. The company has previously claimed that the upcoming range of OPPO Reno will offer a “brand new product concept, design philosophy, and communication model.” The latest leaks also reveals the design of the back panel which houses vertically stacked dual rear camera setup along with a flash.
The leak suggests that there is a motorized mechanism which automatically elevates the front camera from the cutout on top when the user switches to the selfie snapper. Moreover, some of the leaked renders indicate that the Reno will include a USB C port and a 3.5mm headphone jack. While there is no visible fingerprint sensor on the back, so we can assume that the smartphone will have an in display fingerprint scanner.
The OPPO Reno display is expected to be a Super AMOLED type and 6.4 inches. Rumors also suggests a high quality dual camera set up with a 48MP + 5 MP setup with a high tech 10x hybrid zoom capability. Battery capacity of the smartphone is expected to be 4,065 mAh. We can expect to see the first OPPO Reno smartphone getting launched on 10th of April.
