Panasonic Eluga X1 and X1 pro launched with notched display and wireless charging

Panasonic has joined the display notch bandwagon by launching of its latest flagships, Eluga X1 and Eluga X1 Pro today. The devices will be available for purchase starting from 10 October.

Both the devices come with a 6.18 inch Full HD+ 19:9 display with a notch on top and 2,246 x 1,080 pixel resolution. The handsets feature a stainless steel unibody construction with a layer of 2.5D curved glass on the front.

On the hardware front, both the X1 and X1 Pro get an octa core MediaTek Helio P60 SoC based on the 12 nm processor and featuring a NeuroPilot AI chip. In terms of storage configurations, the Eluga X1 comes with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage, whereas the X1 Pro offers a 6GB RAM + 128GB storage.

In terms of optics, the Panasonic Eluga X1 Pro offers a dual camera set up at the back which is stacked vertically. It has a 16 MP primary sensor and a 5 MP secondary sensor which is used for depth sensing. At the front, there is a 16 MP camera sensor that supports 3D facial recognition for unlocking the device while the Eluga X1 just offers infra red face unlock.

Both the smartphones come with a rear mounted fingerprint scanner and an Infrared Face unlock with AI, which works in the dark too. The devices run on Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box. Both the devices are backed by a 3,000mAh battery.
