Samsung officially launched its much awaited Foldable Galaxy Smartphone

The wait is finally over, Samsung officially unveiled its first foldable device to maximise the productivity of what a smartphone can do. It can become a tablet and an fulfill all your needs of an Smartphone and Tablet.

Rumors and speculations about the device were keep on coming since a very long time. Now we know what Galaxy Fold is all about and what the device is truly capable of. Now without wasting any further words, let’s come to the specs and features of the device.

When the device is foldable all you get is a 4.6³ HD+ resolution Super AMOLED display on the front, with a front camera and earpiece so it can work as a regular phone if you need to call or text someone. While on the back, there is a triple camera setup same as the S10 and S10 Plus, arranged in a vertical position.

Upon unfolding the device you gets a large 7.3³ QXGA+ resolution 1536 x 2152 pixels Infinity Flex display with 4.2:3 aspect ratio. There are two cameras on the front, located at the top right corner of the display.

The Samsung Galaxy Fold is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 coupled with 12GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage. Samsung is using UFS 3.0 high speed storage so its faster in App launch and loading data.

Google and Samsung designed a custom version of Android together specially for the Galaxy Fold. It runs on a modified version of Android 9.0 Pie, which effortlessly switches from the front display of the phone to the bigger display of tablet when unfolded.

In terms of photography, the device comes with a total of six cameras. There is a single 10MP camera on the smaller display, dual 10MP + 8 MP cameras on the larger display and three cameras on the back same as the S10 and S10+ including a 12MP main camera with variable aperture, 12 MP telephoto sensor and a 16MP wide angle lens.

The Galaxy Fold is powered by two separate battery units, that combines to offer 4,380 mAh capacity with 18W fast charging support. The device will be available in both LTE and 5G versions and will be up for sale from April 26th for $1,980 (Approx Rs. 275,000 in Pakistan).
