Chinese electronics manufacturer Vivo announced today that its upcoming Vivo 15 Pro smartphone will feature a 32MP pop up selfie camera. The phone will be the company's second attempt at including a pop up front facing camera and will be officially announced on February 20th.
Vivo hasnt announced what sensor its using for the V15 Pros camera yet, but the need for compact hardware in a pop up system suggests it might use of Samsungs recently announced 32MP GD1 image sensor, which has been designed particularly to focus on space efficiency. Samsungs GD1 image sensor features support for HDR as well as electronic image stabilization.
Various leaks of the V15 Pro say that the smartphone will sport a 6.39 inch Super AMOLED display with a Full HD+ resolution, and that screen takes up the entirety of the front of the device housing the fingerprint scanner too.
Vivo has also confirmed the V15 Pro will use an in display fingerprint scanner. No other specs or price has been announced officially yet, but we are likely to learn more about the device in a coming few weeks.
