Chinese smartphone maker Vivo has just launched the Vivo X23 Star edition. The phone uses an innovative holographic coating and a new design that creates a 3D depth effect and shows a shadow at the back of the phone. When the light hits the back of the device, it creates thousands of nano illusion effects which gives a unique look to the phone.
The Vivo X23 Star edition boasts a 6.41inch water drop display with 91.2% screen to body ratio and an aspect ratio of 19.5:9. The phone is powered by Qualcomms Snapdragon 660AIE processor paired with 6GB of RAM and 128GB internal storage. Vivo has also included the twin turbo acceleration technology which also includes features such as System Turbo and Game Turbo.
In terms of photography the phone is equipped with three cameras, a dual 12MP + 13MP setup on the back and a 12MP front facing AI camera which can recognize upto 103 basic facial features and has 11 modes to match with those facial features. The phone comes with Vivos Jovi voice assistant.
The handset runs on Android 8.1 Oreo OS with FunTouch OS 4.1 skin on top. It comes with fourth generation in display fingerprint scanner embedded under the screen that features an improved biometric recognition technology, which is claimed to unlock the phone in just 0.35 seconds. Vivo X23 Star edition is fueled by a 3400mAh battery with support for 22.5W fast charging technology.
