Vivo today introduced a new Y series smartphone Vivo Y97 in China. In terms of design specifications it can be compared to Vivo V11 because it contains striking similarities with the phone.
The Vivo Y97 sports a large 6.3 inch IPS LCD Halo FullView display with 1080 x 2280 Full HD+ resolution and a 19:9 aspect ratio. Thanks to the tiny notch at the top of the display, the Y97 boasts an impressive 90.3% screen to body ratio.
Vivo Y97 is powered by a 12nm MediaTek Helio P60 octa core processor clocked at 2.0 GHz with a Mali G72MP3 GPU for taking care of the graphics processing. The 12nm processor on the Y97 has been coupled with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage.
In the camera department, the Vivo Y97 features a 16MP + 2MP AI dual camera setup at the back. For selfies, the smartphone has a 16MP snapper on the front. The front facing camera offers Face Unlock support as Face Unlock is the only Biometric security feature in the phone because it does not have a fingerprint scanner.
In terms of software, the Vivo Y97 runs on the companys Funtouch OS based on the Android 8.1 Oreo. For keeping the lights on there is a 3315 mAh capacity battery.
The smartphone has been launched with a price tag of 1,998 Yuan in China which translates to Approx Rs. 36,000 in Pakistan. Vivo Y97 is available in three colors which are, Starry Night Black, Dream Powder (Pink), and Aurora Blue
