Xiaomi Mi 8 - Awesome Back and Notched Display

Rumors were floating around about Xiaomi's 8th anniversary flagship phone since the start of the month, company officially tweeted to confirm the Xiaomi Mi 8s launch on Thursday, May 31st. the company has decided to skip the Mi seven and jump to Eight, because it is eighth anniversary of the company.

The latest development about this eagerly awaited device is an alleged live video of the Xiaomi Mi 8 shows the phone with a translucent back similar to the HTC U12+. It seems an interesting approach to mix the old and new design trends.

Another thing which becomes clear from the video, is the notch design on up front of the device. Yes, the Xiaomi Mi 8 will have an iPhone X like notch on the top which seems to be a wider one than most other Android phones that have adopted the iPhones notch. That notch may house the cameras and sensors needed for 3D face recognition.

For the bottom bezel of the phone there's not much you can see in the video. The lighting is not ideal and the resolution is also very low to be able to make anything at the bottom of the screen clearly visible. Even after doing some adjustments to the image, we were not able to see a bezel at the bottom of the phone. But still, it seems that there could be a thicker edge there, because eliminating the bottom bezel completely can be a very difficult and expensive process.
