Xiaomi has unveiled the Mi 9 in China today, the phone is the successor to Xiaomi Mi 8 which was launched 8 months earlier. The Mi 9 looks very much similar to the MI 8 but with a smaller notch and a total of three rear cameras, increased from the two found in the previous phone.
The device is the first from Xiaomi having triple rear camera setup. There's a 48MP f/1.75 main camera coupled with a 16MP wide angle sensor and a 12MP telephoto lens that offers 2x zoom. While on front there is a 20MP camera with HDR.
The Mi 9 features a 6.39 inch FHD+ AMOLED panel protected by Gorilla Glass 6 layer. Mi 9 is also one of the first devices to be powered by Qualcomm's latest chipset, the Snapdragon 855 coupled with 6GB or 12GB of RAM and upto 256GB of internal storage.
The smartphone houses an in display optical fingerprint scanner and is fuelled by 3,300mAh battery with fast charging support upto 20W. The Mi 9 will be available in violet, blue, and black color options. Xiaomi will be showcasing the Mi 9 at MWC 2019 and its Global launch may announce there.
