Artificial Intelligence developed by Google can predict a patient's death with 95% accuracy

Google has developed an artificial intelligence for medical purposes that is able to predict a patients death with an accuracy of 95 percent.

The machine learning software is able to predict with accuracy if a patient will die within 24 hours of being admitted to the hospital. Artificial intelligence systems become smarter over time through a process known as machine learning on which this AI is based on.

Researchers compiled the data of 216,226 adult patients from two hospitals in the United States. The data include clinical trial results, readmission, use of hospital facilities, and diagnostics.

The Google team reportedly used a medicall brain algorithm to construct this AI. It can also guess at the length of a patients stay in hospital, and their chances of being readmitted.

The accuracy of the Google AI in predicting whether a patient will die within 24 hours of admission is 95% which is 10% more accurate than systems and methods currently used by medical industry.

Google urged hospitals and medical institutions to adopt this AI to improve the care for patients. The main goal of this AI is to utilize it in numerous clinical situations to calculate which patient needs the highest priority.
