Samsung, In a post on the A Series website, the mobile giant revealed the as yet unannounced Galaxy A90 would feature an exclusive “Notchless Infinity screen”. Samsung has been showcasing different display options for phones. The Galaxy Fold revealed at company's Unpacked event in February with a screen that folds in half. The Galaxy S10 lineup use a hole punch cutout in the display to house the selfie camera. And now it seems the upcoming Galaxy A90 will feature a screen without a notch or a hole punch.
Rumors indicated that the Galaxy A90 would have a pop up camera instead of using a notch. The official website of the South Korean smartphone manufacturer in Indonesia has confirmed the implementation of the new screen, called Notchless Infinity. With that the Galaxy A90 gets an almost 100% screen body ratio, taking advantage of the entire front panel with no bezels.
Right now, It’s unclear exactly how the Notchless Infinity screen will be different rom Samsung’s regular Infinity Display. Samsung announced four different kinds of Infinity screens at the developers conference back in November. Two of them the U and the V feature notches, one the O, which we saw on the Galaxy S10 has a hole punch cutout, and the final screen which was called New Infinity display, featured no notches or cutouts at all. The Galaxy A90 is expected to launch at a Samsung event on April 10.
