Huawei announced its first foldable smartphone named Mate X earlier this year. The official launch of the device got postponed several times before going on sale, but it was well received by users upon debut. The Chinese smartphone giant is now gearing up to launch two more foldable devices next year. One is going to be called Mate Xs while the other is going to be the direct successor to this year's foldable smartphone and is termed Mate X2.
The Mate Xs will be unveiled in March next year at the Mobile World Congress. It will come with Kirin 990G processor, a better hinge design and a more resistant screen then the original Mate X. Similar to the original Mate X, the Mate Xs will launch without access to Google services and apps. While the successor of Mate X called Mate X2 is will be announced in the third quarter of 2020. Reports suggests that it will be powered by Kirin 1000 processor. A renowned tipster claims that Mate X2 will adopt a similar design to the Samsung Galaxy Fold. Which means it will fold inwards opposed to the current outward folding Mate X. The device will not unfold into a tablet but rather into a standard phone with a full screen, the display size will be anywhere between 6.5 inches and 6.9 inches. The phone will have a smaller footprint when folded making it easily fit in the pocket.
