Latest Trends in Robotic-Technology

The world is evolving at a crazy pace and is becoming an intelligent globe. It has not been a decade since the development of computers and humans are already aiming for zenith in the field of Robotic-Tech. The human mind is indeed a remarkable creation! Blending Computer Science with Electrical and Mechanical Engineering is an idea that started with fantasies and transitioned to real-life robotic sciences just recently. In between, of course, the use of robots become a culture, a costly culture, however.

From automobile industries to medicine, media, and economics, the Robots have become our goal workforce. And while we are talking about it, let’s see some of the latest trends and developments in RoboticTech.

Developed by the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology, or AIST, a Japanese research facility headquartered in Tokyo, the PARO is a therapeutic robot with the appearance of a baby harp seal. The PARO allows proven benefits of animal therapy and has 5 kinds of sensors in-built i.e. Light, Audition, Posture Sensors, Tactile and Temperature Sensors.

The animal-appearing robot can literally sense people, their individualities and their environment and has even proven to - Reduce patient stress - Motivate and Relax humans - Stimulate interacting ability and Socializing mood in patients

The PARO responds as if alive, moving its head and legs, showing real behavior and making sounds which accurately match with that of baby harps.

Well, that was something of Medicine but it may become our daily aid for anxiety and depression. Cool!

Now, the next trending development in Robotic-tech, about which we cannot hold back, is the PEPPER!

THE TALKING TEDDY!

If you have watched Love Story 2050, Priyanka Chopra’s BOO is what coming live.

PEPPER, like BOO, is a talking humanoid robot that is so responsive to human beings that it actually adapts its attitude BASED ON YOUR MOOD. Yes, the little robot can REALLY SENSE EMOTIONS like sadness, happiness, anger, grief, and joy! And what is lovelier is that it doesn’t respond in a mechanical and robotic manner but in a very humane fashion with relatively high and low pitches of its voice.

And as PEPPER is being developed, we must say, the world is becoming something really-really interesting. Here is a complete interview of PEPPER!

Humanoid Robots that talk and respond in a very humane manner are the most trending subjects of scientists these days. One of the hyped inventions in the field was Robot Sophia which the entire world applauded for. This is to, reduce loneliness factors in countries like Japan and to have an un-tiring and far-from-perfect assistant 24 hours a day capable of much more than you can imagine!

Other than the developments in robots for medicine and lifestyle fields, robots that can perform heavy and consistent duties in electrical industries are on-trend.

One of the most challenging Robotic technology is the Lethal Autonomous Weapons Systems (LAWS).

The development of LAWS is inevitably in the process because scientists are beyond curious and passionate to develop a handy atomic bomb. Talking about existing Artificial Intelligence, they currently provide humans with physical platforms, perception, motor control, navigation, mapping, tactical decision-making, and long-term planning and if, IF Robotic Technology advances these AI just a little more by combining it, the weapons, or say the LAWS, that will be developed will be magnificently useful and likewise lethal!

One of the things to always remember about a Robot is that they are Accurate, astonishingly Consistent and FAST! And if we are developing Robotics to wage war or to develop accurately-lethal weapons, the earth, and mankind, are in pretty much threat.

Robotic technology can be as cute and helpful as PARO and PEPPER but can be as dangerous as the LAWS.

And only time can tell how the future will unfold!
