Mysterious Samsung Galaxy J7 series phone spotted on the Wi-Fi Alliance

A mystery Samsung device with the model number SM J737T1 received its Wi-Fi certification on July 6th. The model number contains J7, so we can speculate that this device will be coming in the Galaxy J7 family.

The certification documents confirms that the phone will ship with Android 8.0 Oreo and of course the companys custom UI on top of it. Wi-Fi Alliance documents also confirm that the phone will support both 2.4GHz and 5GHz WiFi.

Samsung has already introduced many Variants of Galaxy J7 family this year including J7 Prime 2, J7 Duo, J7 Aero and J7 top. All of which are mid range, low cost devices.

A 2018 model of the Samsung Galaxy J7 itself is expected for release later this month, so it could be that. But various tech sites reports that it could be an entirely new handset in the J7 family.

Samsung usually releases quite a few variants of their Galaxy J series each year, so this device could really be anything. Hopefully, we'll find out more about the new Galaxy J7 handset in the coming weeks.
