In december, a mysterious prototype provided a big hint at what the next OnePlus next flagship phone could look like from the rear. Since then, very few details have emerged about the device. But today newly leaked image shows the front of an alleged OnePlus 7 prototype placed with the OnePlus 6T.
As the image shows, the phone boasts a bezel free design with no notch nor any cutout on display for front camera. This hints towards a sliding mechanism by which front camera can revealed like the last years Mi Mix 3. The alleged OnePlus 7 shown in the image is placed in a case that has some space on top.
What more is visible in the case is the earpiece cutout which is larger than what we see on normal smartphones, so maybe there is a front facing speaker placed under it which will pop after sliding the phone. The size of the speaker grill hints at a stereo speaker setup on the device.
The protective case that the alleged OnePlus 7 prototype can be seen featuring cutouts for the front facing camera and proximity sensors, despite the area directly below being empty which further cements the probability of a sliding mechanism. OnePlus 7 will officially arrive in May alongside the company's first 5G device.
