Pakistani CubeSat to Orbit the Moon Aboard China's Cheng E6

China is getting ready for a mission to the moon called Cheng E6. It will launch in the first part of 2024. What's interesting is that it will carry a satellite from Pakistan.

The China National Space Administration (CNSA) announced on a social media platform called Weibo that the Cheng E6 mission is going well and is on track to go to the moon.

This mission is also about countries working together. It will carry things from different countries like Pakistan, the European Space Agency (ESA), France, and Italy. They will use special tools from France to test for a kind of gas. ESA and Italy will also send their equipment on this journey.

The special part is that Pakistan is sending a small satellite called CubeSat to orbit the moon.

Cheng E6 will explore the side of the moon that is always dark. It will collect things from the moon's surface and then come back to Earth.

This mission is unique because it will be the first time we collect things from the dark side of the moon. Other missions before this only collected things from the side of the moon that's closer to us.

The main goal of this mission is to get samples from different parts of the moon. This will help us learn how old the moon is and what happened in its history.
