After many rumors and speculations Samsung has officially denied that it is going to begin shipping the Galaxy Fold next month. The device was unveiled in february and was slated to go on sale in May but due to some issues in the display and the folding mechanism identified by early testers forced Samsung to hold the device from making it to the retail until it fixes those issues.
Samsung claimed that the Galaxy Fold can withstand 200,000 folds without wrecking up but several reviewers who got the devices for early testing claimed that the device teared up just within two days of use. Samsung is currently fixing the issue with the display and folding mechanism and wants to make sure that the device is usable before being shipped to the end users.
The thing worth to be noted here is that Samsung is not the only phone company experiencing problems in the foldable smartphone. Chinese tech giant Huawei also announced that it would be delaying the launch of its own foldable Mate X device from June to September to get more time for testing. Huawei senior VP, Vincent Peng told the media that the delay is to improve the quality of the phone's foldable screen.
