Samsung has just started rolling out Android 9 Pie update for its Galaxy A6. The update is currently in Beta version. Galaxy A6 is the first budget range smartphone from Samsung to receive Android 9. Samsung is keen to bring the latest version of Android to its mid range devices.
The update brings Samsung’s latest One UI that is currently coming with the flagship devices by the company. Users can enroll into the beta program through the Samsung Members app and get Android Pie and the new One UI along with a host of new features.
The purported screenshot being shared on the internet after the update shows that the update brings Samsung Knox 3.3. However, it is unclear whether the new software version carries the February Android security patch.
The latest beta update is now live in South Korea only, while it is expected to reach other markets all over the world in coming few days. However, the stable update of Android Pie for the Galaxy A6 is so due for April this year.
Samsung Galaxy A6 was unveiled for the global markets back in May last year with Android 8.0 Oreo now it's pleasant to see Samsung giving focus to its old midrange devices and rolling out the latest updates on them.
