Samsung Galaxy S11 Series Smartphones Tipped to Feature 48MP Telephoto Camera While the S11+ May Pack a Custom 108MP Sensor

The Galaxy S11 series is one among the top anticipated smartphone lineup scheduled to release in February next year. There are three confirmed variants of the Samsung's flagship series which are going to make debut, namely Galaxy S11, Galaxy S11e and Galaxy S11+. Leaks about the devices are coming from all the corners as the launch date is coming near.

According to fresh leaks by a renowned tipster, the Galaxy S11 trio is going to come equipped with a 48MP telephoto lens. Moreover, the Premium Galaxy S11+ is reported to sport a custom 108MP sensor will employ 9-cell pixel binning technology. Samsung has already explained the working of its ISOCELL Bright HMX 108MP camera sensor and details the improved imaging capabilities of smartphone equipping that sensor.

The 48MP telephoto lens is expected to improve the zooming capabilities of the Galaxy S11 lineup and it will take it to the next level with best in class. While the 108MP ISOCELL Bright HM1 developed by Samsung is already featured in Xiaomi Mi Note 10, but the sensor Samsung going to include in the Galaxy S11+ will be a customized version of the same sensor.

In the details Samsung shared about its new 108MP ISOCELL Bright HM1 in the official press release, states that it employs a 1/1.33-inch sensor with 0.8-micron pixels that utilise the Tetra-cell Technology (2 x 2 pixel binning) to deliver better 27MP photos. The sensor also employs Super-PD autofocus for fast and accurate autofocus, Smart-ISO technology, and the in-house ISOCELL Plus technology to cut down optical loss and light reflection.
