Samsung is developing curved battery for it’s first foldable smartphone SAMSUNG GALAXY X

A foldable phone requires more than just a flexible screen as it can also be necessary for some of the internal components to be curved, which is probably one of the reasons we havent seen one yet. It sounds like Samsung is close though, as the company has apparently created a curved battery suitable for such a phone.

A recent report suggests that Samsung has now designed a commercial curved battery pack. The new batteries are capable of hosting a power capacity ranging from 3,000mAh to 6,000mAh, according to the report.

Though Its unlikely that Samsung will put a 6,000mAh battery in a smartphone, with the device being more likely to feature a battery in the 3,000mAh range.

Its unclear when the phone will launch, but previous reports claimed that an early 2019 announcement is likely for Samsung Galaxy X that would undoubtedly become Samsungs most exciting flagship of next year.

Galaxy X will have 7.3³ screen when opened, which will turn to 4.5³ when folded.

The Galaxy X may arrive alongside the Galaxy S10, but don’t expect it to be cheaper than Rs 200,000 in Pakistan. Yet still, the folding phone future is much closer now than it’s ever been. It is suspected that Huawei and LG are also developing foldable or hybrid devices.
