The South Korean smartphone giant Samsung is already working on three devices supposed to compete against Apples three new iPhones. Samsung is going to launch three Galaxy S10 models next year. Two would be the successors to Galaxy S9 and the Galaxy S9+ and the other one would be a cheaper option with slightly lower specs.
In the race to place as many cameras as possible in a smartphone, Samsung may take the lead as rumors are floating around that it is planning to place total five cameras on the Galaxy S10 Plus. If the rumors are correct than it will be the first device from Samsung to house five cameras.
According to rumors, the smartphone will have a dual camera setup at the front and a triple camera setup on the back. The Galaxy S10 Plus is also rumored to feature at least one lens with support for shooting ultra wide angles with 123° wide angle lens.
This won't be the first time Samsung is placing two lenses on front camera of an smartphone. Galaxy A8 also features a dual front camera setup where 16MP primary sensor paired with an 8MP secondary sensor. The dual front cameras on the A8 allows users to apply the Bokeh effect to their selfies.
Samsung is looking to pull out all the stops for its 10th anniversary and the core Galaxy S10 features. The phones will be revealed earlier next year.
