Samsung’s upcoming full screen smartphone will house the front camera under display

Samsung has officially announced that they are working on a technology that will allow the selfie cameras to be placed under the display which will give future Samsung devices a much more cleaner look from the front and will provide a higher screen-to-body ratio.

The South Korean manufacturer has been giving extra attention to its flagship series smartphones from couple of past years and is constantly working towards innovative technological advancements. The plan to offer more screen real estate by placing the selfie camera under display will provide Samsung another edge over its competitors.

Samsung’s vice president of the display R&D group, Yang Byung-Duk stated about the possibility of a perfect full-screen display in an interview. This could mean that upcoming Samsung devices would house a completely bezel-less display with no visible camera or sensors.

Placing the front camera sensor under the display would mean that no need of punch hole or notch would be left to be carved into the display, thus providing a seamless design with an smooth and uninterrupted experience. No other details about the upcoming device with the technology has been shared by the company yet.
