Samsung has introduced The Wall a modular, MircoLED display for commercial applications. The product is available for pre order now and shipping will start in the third quarter of 2018
Samsung claims The Wall is best for use in corporate lobbies, museums, galleries or luxury retail spaces.
The Wall TV measures 146 inches diagonally and uses MicroLED technology instead of OLED or traditional LED. MicroLED delivers many of the benefits that you may find in OLED, including perfect blacks and awe inspiring colors, the set also boasts 1,600 nits of brightness. That's way brighter than today's OLED sets.
Featuring a module based, bezel less design, The Wall also allows consumers to customize their television sizes and shapes to suit their needs. The screen can adapt to serve different purposes, such as creating a wall size display for multiple spaces. When mounted, it hangs flush to the wall thanks to Samsungs proprietary No Gap Wall Mount.
So when not in use, motion and brightness sensors convert The Frame from TV into a lifelike work of art. Just like how a framed painting or picture looks different depending on time of day, these sensors also adjust the screen brightness based on the ambient light in the room.
Samsung hasn't provided an official price for The Wall till now. Though a 100 inch 4k version costs $10,000 (More than a million Rs in Pakistan).
