After October 24, WhatsApp will stop working on these smartphones.

California-based instant messaging service WhatsApp has announced that as of October 24 it will stop supporting specific Android smartphones. WhatsApp is owned by Meta.

WhatsApp stated that service would cease functioning on dated handsets running operating systems after October 14, 2023. As a result, if you own one of these gadgets, you might want to think about getting a newer phone.

The company claims that WhatsApp is currently compatible with Android 4.1 or later operating systems. The messaging app will only be supported on Android versions 5.0 and later beginning on October 24, 2023.

You won't be able to use WhatsApp if your Android device is running an earlier version; you must update it to Android 5.0 or a newer version.

One of the most widely utilized messaging platforms worldwide is WhatsApp. Users can text, send and receive photos, and send and receive videos to communicate with one another.

The service is accessible on a variety of platforms, including smartphones, tablets, desktops, and even certain smart TVs, and has more than 1 billion monthly active users globally.

It is important to note that on October 24, 2022, the messaging app will no longer work with iPhones running iOS 10 and 11. You won't be able to use WhatsApp if your iPhone still uses one of these outdated operating systems.

Users of iPhones must have iOS 12 or a more newer version installed on their smartphone in order to use WhatsApp. You must update your iPhone's operating system to iOS 12 or a newer version in order to continue using the app.
