Asus has finally announced that it will launch its Republic of Gamers branded, the ROG Phone, on October 18, when it will be made available for pre order. It will start at $899 (Approx Rs. 110,000 in Pakistan) with 128GB of storage, and a 512GB model will run for $1,099 (Approx Rs. 1,099 in Pakistan).
The entry level Phone has got 8GB of Ram and 128 GB storage. The phone has a 6 inch 2160 x 1080 pixel AMOLED 90Hz refresh rate display. It runs on an overclocked Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor.
In terms of optics, the phone sports a 12MP + 8MP dual rear camera setup and an 8MP front camera for selfies. The fingerprint sensor is also placed on the back of the device. The phone is powered by a 4000mAh battery.
Asus isn't the first company to release a phone built for gaming, but it stands out from the competition. It has dedicated programmable buttons so you don't have to rely solely on the touchscreen. It has a handful of accessories like attachable side controllers, a twin view dock and a battery pack stand.
