Googles new Android Messages now lets you send text messages from your computer

Back in June, Google introduced its Android Messages platform on the web, which is exactly what it sounds like.

Here's step by step guide of how to setup the feature in your PC:

Step 1:

Android Messages are now pre installed in your device but If your phone runs a custom Android, then you need to download and install Android Messages from the Google Play Store. Once installed, the app will ask you to set it as the default messaging app for it to work.

Step 2:

In Android Messages app Tap on the three dots in the top right corner, and select the Messages for web option from dropdown menu.

Step 3:

Once done with the above step, the app will then ask you to open www.messages.android.com and scan the QR code on the website through your smartphone.

Step 4:

After scanning the QR code on the website, the website will then show your SMSes on the computer and will also let you receive, compose or send SMS directly from there.

The controls in Android Messages on the web are pretty much the same as they are on your phone. You can also add emojis, stickers and attached files. We can expect Google to improve and bring more features to offer a more flawless Messaging experience.
