HTC Wildfire R70 Officially Announced with Triple Rear Camera Setup and 6.53 inch HD+ Display

HTC was among the key players in the smartphone segment a few years back, but the Taiwanese company gradually lost its market share mainly to its Chinese competitors such as OPPO, Huawei, Xiaomi, and Vivo. It has been months since HTC unveiled a new phone, but now it has announced an entry-level device that will be available soon in the Indian and Thailand markets.

The latest smartphone from HTC is the Wildfire R70 which is basically an entry-level smartphone with more or less basic specs. It features a 6.53 inch HD+ LCD display with 720 x 1,560 pixels resolution and an aspect ratio of 19.5:9. The phone has a tear-drop notch on top of the display where the front camera resides.  The latest smartphone from HTC runs Android 9.0 with Sense UI on top.

In terms of camera and photography, HTC Wildfire R70 offers a triple rear camera setup on the back, consisting of a 16MP primary shooter, a 2MP macro lens and a 2MP depth sensor. The camera setup is accompanied by an LED flash located below the vertical camera array. A fingerprint scanner is also placed on the back of the smartphone. There is an 8MP front-facing camera housed inside the teardrop notch on top of the display.

HTC Wildfire R70 is powered by MediaTek Helio P23 chipset paired with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage expandable via an external MicroSD card. The 4,000mAh battery of the device is charged at 10W via the old fashioned MicroUSB port. The Wildfire R70 from HTC will come in Aurora Blue and Night Black color options while the price of the smartphone has not been revealed by the company yet.
