While all four models include a Dynamic Island, they appear almost identical from the front at a distance. A18 Chip Across the Board, Pros Get More Graphics Power
The A18 chip powers the iPhone 16 series, while the A18 Pro chip is used in the iPhone 16 Pro series. Both are fabricated using TSMC’s second-generation 3nm process, consisting of a six-core CPU unit with four high-performance cores and two efficient cores. The major difference between the two chips lies in the GPU: the A18 features a five-core GPU, while the A18 Pro includes an additional graphics core. Overall, there is said to be a 20 percent performance difference between the two.
All four models offer 8 GB of RAM. For storage, the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus are available in 128 GB, 256 GB, and 512 GB variants. Similarly, the iPhone 16 Pro is available with 128 GB, 256 GB, 512 GB, and 1 TB of storage. The iPhone 16 Pro Max starts at 256 GB and is also available in 512 GB and 1 TB storage options.
The Major Difference Lies in the Camera
The iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus feature a dual-camera setup with a 48 MP primary wide-angle lens and a 12 MP ultra-wide-angle lens, along with a 12 MP selfie camera. In contrast, the iPhone 16 Pro series has a 48 MP wide-angle lens, a 48 MP ultra-wide lens, a 12 MP 5x tel>ephoto lens, and a 12 MP selfie camera. The iPhone 16 Pro series can record 4K videos at up to 120 fps, while the same is limited to 60 fps on the iPhone 16 series.
