Poco X2 Officially Launched as a Rebranded Version of Redmi K30 4G

Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi has recently announced that it is making its former sub brand a completely independent business. The Poco brand was established over a year ago, but since its inception, the brand only introduced a single smartphone called Poco F1. Now, after becoming an Independent brand it has formally introduced the Poco X2 which is a rebranded version of Xiaomi Redmi K30 4G without any noticeable changes. The X2 is not a direct successor to the Poco F1 and may continue as a separate line.

The smartphone was announced by the company executive via his Twitter handle about a week ago and now the device is official in India. The smartphone features a 6.67 inch Full HD+ hole punch display with dual selfie camera placed inside the cylindrical cutout on the upper right corner of the screen. The display comes with 120Hz refresh rate which is a norm in flagship level devices. The display panel is protected by Gorilla Glass 5. The device features a side mounted fingerprint scanner for biometric security.

POCO X2 is powered by the Snapdragon 730G processor paired and comes in three different memory variants: 6GB/64GB, 6GB/128GB, and 8GB/256GB. It runs MIUI 11 out of the box on top of Android 10. In terms of camera and photography, the device sports a quad rear camera setup that comprises of a 64MP Sony IMX686 mains shooter, 8MP ultrawide lens, 2MP macro camera and 2MP depth sensor units. While on the front, it features a 20MP and 2MP dual camera setup.

The smartphone is fuelled by a 4,500mAh battery with 27W fast charging support through USB-C port. It features liquid cooling technology which can dissipate heat 300% faster according to the company's claim. The smartphone is launched in three colors, Atlantis Blue, Matrix Purple, and Phoenix Red. The POCO X2 will go on sale in India from February 11th. According to sources, the device will arrive in Pakistan on March 12 with a price tag of Rs. 44,999 for 6GB/64GB base variant and Rs. 46,999 for 6GB/128GB version, while the premium 8GB/256GB variant will make a dent of Rs. 51,999 in your wallet.
