Huawei owned Honor is gearing up to launch its latest smartphone Honor 8X and Honor 8X MAX on September 5. The Honor 8X series is going to be a successor to the Honor 7X, that was launched in October last year.
Speculations are rife that the smartphones would feature a water drop notched display with reduced bezels, dual rear camera setup and a massive battery.
Honor 8X is expected to feature a 7.12 inch display with a resolution of 2,240 x 1,080 pixels. The phone will have a Snapdragon 660 processor coupled with 64GB storage and 4GB RAM. This is a bit surprising as Honor phones generally pack Huawei made Kirin chips. The handset will run on Android 8.1 Oreo with EMUI custom UI atop.
While Honor 8X Max will be powered by a 2.2 GHz octa core Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor. Speaking of the display, the Honor 8X Max is said to boast a huge 7.12 inch 2,244 x 1,080 display. The rest of the phone's specs might include a dual 16MP + 2MP rear camera setup, a massive 4,900 mAh battery, and a rear mounted fingerprint sensor.
