Huawei has filed for a handful of new trademarks with the Intellectual Property Office of the UK. It seems like Huawei is moving forward from the current two digit naming scheme to a three digit naming for its high end P series. The patents filed by Huawei consists of P300, P400 and P500 monikers. The company currently does not have any smartphone line up with a triple digit name.
All the three trademarks falls in Class 9 category with a description of Mobile phones and Tablets. Huawei seems to add extra models to its P series or maybe the patents filed will be successors to the current P30 lite, P30 and P30 Pro. Huawei releases the P series smartphones in the first quarter of the year so it is expected to release the successors after more than half a year.
The company has also patented Huawei Air Glass and SuperSensing, the technology is probably meant for the Mate 30 series which is expected to see the light of the in October this year. Huawei is notably the second largest smartphone manufacturer just behind Samsung and it aims to take over the Korean Giant and become the largest smartphone vendor in 2020.
