Meizu is working on a new phone revealed by the company CEO Jack named Meizu Note 9. It will be going to be the first Meizu smartphone with a notched display, sporting a water drop cut out housing the selfie shooter in it.
The Meizu Note 9 will be powered by a Snapdragon 6150 which does not exists till now. Its said to be built on an 11nm manufacturing node. While the Snapdragon 6150 chipset is not official yet but it is expected to be a midranger in the 600 series, supporting up to 1080p resolution. The Note 9 is also going to feature a 48 MP camera sensor, which could be Sonys IMX586 or Samsungs Isocell Bright GM1.
The new phone will be a successor of the Meizu Note 8 that arrived just two months ago. It was launched with dual 12MP + 5MP rear camera setup and Snapdragon 632, while the memory is 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage which was not expandable because of no microSD card slot. The Note 9 looks like an update and hopefully the new phone will have bigger storage options, newer OS and USB C.
