LG has announced a new addition to its Q series family of mid range phones today in South Korea. The phone is the successor to the LG Q8, and it's called the LG Q9. The phone is almost identical to last fall's G7 Fit from inside and out.
The phone comes with a 6.1 inch notched display with 3120 x 1440 pixels. The phone is powered by Snapdragon 821 coupled with 4GB of RAM and and 64GB of internal storage.
In terms of camera it has got a 16MP rear camera and an 8MP front camera for selfies. For audio LG Q9 will feature a Boombox speaker, a Hi Fi Quad DAC system, and DTS:X stereo support.
The handset also has an IP68 water and dust resistance rating, which means that it should survive in up to 1 meter of water for approx 30 minutes.
The phone is fueled by a relatively small 3,000mAh battery and runs on Android 8.1 Oreo. The LG Q9 will be available in three colors including New Aurora Black, New Moroccan Blue, and Carmine Red. The phone will be available in South Korean markets from later this month.
