Xiaomi is ready to unveil two successors of the already successful Mi A1. Mi A2 and Mi A2 Lite. Both will be announced at an event in Spain on July 24.
The Xiaomi Mi A2 will be the global version of the Mi 6X, which made its debut in China in April this year. While the smartphone will run on stock Android 8.1 Oreo operating system out of the box, it will be identical to the Mi 6X in terms of hardware specifications. The smartphone will come with a 5.99 inch IPS LCD Full screen display featuring 1080 x 2160 Full HD+ resolution and an 18:9 aspect ratio. Powering Xiaomis second Android One smartphone will be a powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 octa core processor with an Adreno 512 GPU.
In terms of memory, the device is expected to be announced in three variants 4GB RAM + 64GB internal storage, 6GB RAM + 64GB internal storage and 6GB RAM + 128GB internal storage.
Coming to the camera department, the Xiaomi Mi A2 is expected to feature a dual camera setup at the back consisting of a 12MP primary camera with Sony IMX486 sensor, f/1.75 aperture and a secondary 20MP camera with Sony IMX376 sensor with f/1.75 aperture. On the front, the device is reported to have a 20MP selfie camera with Sony IMX376 sensor and a soft LED flash.
The Xiaomi Mi A2 is reported to run on Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box and will be a part of Googles Android One program. While the phone is expected to be powered by a 3,010mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0 support.
Xiaomi Mi A2 Lite, on the other hand, will be based on the Redmi 6 Pro. It will arrive with a 5.84 inch notched IPS display with 1080 x 2280 Full HD+ resolution and a 19:9 aspect ratio. The companys first notched Android One smartphone will run on Qualcomms popular Snapdragon 625 octa core processor clocked at 2.0 GHz with an Adreno 506 GPU. In terms of memory, the Mi A2 Lite is expected to be available in 3GB RAM + 32GB storage and 4GB RAM + 64GB storage variants. In the camera department, Mi A2 will have a 12MP + 5MP dual camera setup with the same AI assisted features like the Mi A2, while on the front will be a 5MP unit for selfies.
The smartphone will also come with a rear mounted fingerprint sensor and a large 4000mAh capacity battery.
The Mi A2 is expected to arrive in Pakistan with a starting price of Rs. 30,000 On the other hand, the high configuration is expected to be priced closer to the Rs. 38,000 mark. Xiaomi Mi A2 Lite is expected to be priced at somewhere around the Rs. 22,000 for the base variant.
