Samsung announces the first midrange 5G smartphone called Galaxy A90 5G

There are only a bunch of 5G smartphones currently available, and all of them are flagship level smartphones with a high price tag. Samsung has changed it today by formally announcing Galaxy A90 5G, a midrange smartphone with 5G capabilities. The device also has some other flagship level features such as Samsung DeX support and Game Booster for enhanced gaming performance.

Samsung Galaxy A90 5G comes with a 6.7 inch Super Amoled display with a small U shaped cutout on the top that houses the 32MP selfie camera. The smartphone is powered by Snapdragon 855 Chipset coupled with 6GB or 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. Snapdragon X50 5G modem makes 5G connectivity possible.

In terms of camera and photography, the Galaxy A90 5G sports a triple rear camera setup on the back comprising of 48MP main sensor, a 5MP depth sensor, and an 8MP ultra wide angle sensor. For selfies, a 32MP camera is equipped in the U shaped cutout on top of the display.

Samsung Galaxy A90 is fuelled by a 4,500mAh battery with 25W fast charging. It has an in display fingerprint scanner for biometric security. Availability and pricing of the device will be announced shortly. Galaxy A90 5G will be available in black or white color options.
