The latest Galaxy Note 9 software update is all about improvements made to the devices rear cameras. The 302MB OTA, firmware version N960FXXU2ARI9, comes with September 1 security patch and includes specific upgrades like brighter faces when the subjects are backlit, less noise in low light shots, and better brightness in low light.
The update released over the weekend of September 28th, 2018, included notes such as what follows. Camera picture quality has been improved, wrote Samsung. That includes Brightness of faces in backlit conditions as well as Day/Night HDR control accuracy. Samsung also suggested that with this update, low light brightness and SNR (Signal Noise Ratio) has been improved.
The Galaxy Note 9s camera is often regarded as one of the best smartphone cameras. The update has been spotted in Germany but it is expected that Samsung will roll out the update for Note 9 all over the globe. Samsung and other smartphone manufacturers are making mobile cameras far better than we expected they could get.
Since the Galaxy Note 9 is Samsungs first smartphone with Scene Optimizer, it makes sense that they will continue to work and improve its camera performance time to time.
