Reports suggested that Samsung is going to launch three Galaxy S10 models next year, including a budget model and two premium phones. Now a new information has arrived about the display of the phone.
According to a leaked report from the chemical suppliers purportedly tasked with building the next generation OLED displays that will be used in the three Galaxy S10 variants, Samsung will use a flat screen in the entry level handset.
Samsung hasnt made a flat Galaxy S phone in a few years now, favoring the dual edge design for its flagship handset. In fact, the Galaxy Note models now also comes with dual edge design. But this is going to change in 2019, as Samsung will launch a flat display 5.8 inch Galaxy S10 version.
It's unclear exactly why Samsung is looking to remove its trademark curvaceous display from at least one model of the Galaxy S10. One reason we can think of is that flat displays are cheaper to manufacture and will allow the company to make the entry level Galaxy S10 more affordable.
The Galaxy S10 is as mentioned before, expected to launch in three variants. This includes a cheaper version, dubbed as the Galaxy S10 Lite, the Galaxy S10 and the Galaxy S10+. We're likely to get our first official glimpse of the Galaxy S10 at the Mobile World Congress trade show in Barcelona in February.
