TCL is not a new entrant in the smartphone market, it has been present for a long time but with the names of Alcatel and Blackberry. Now at CES 2020, the company debuted their first self branded smartphones. TCL 10 5G, TCL 10 Pro and TCL 10L are the first smartphones that the company is preparing to release. The display of all three smartphones has been developed by company's display division called TCL CSOT. The TCL 10 5G and 10L features flat LCD display panels while the TCL 10 Pro features an edged AMOLED display.
TCL 10 5G The TCL 10 5G is the first 5G smartphone by the company. It is going to be powered by one of Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 7-Series chipsets, most probably the Snapdragon 765G. The smartphone features a large display with the punch hole selfie camera. On the back, it features a reflective glass with a rear mounted fingerprint scanner for biometric security. The TCL 10 5G has a Quad Rear Camera Setup with dual LED flash. The main camera on the back is going to be a 64MP sensor while the specifications of other sensors are not known.
TCL 10 Pro
The TCL 10 Pro is the most premium among all three. It features an edge AMOLED display with a notch cut out for housing the front camera. There is an in display fingerprint scanner in TCL 10 Pro. It does not feature a reflective glass at back, instead it comes with the OnePlus 7 Pro’s ‘glowy’ patterns. It also sports a quad rear camera setup with main sensor being a 64MP one, and comes with two single-LED flash modules placed on each end of the horizontal quad camera setup.
TCL 10L The TCL 10L is what we can consider the base model of the 10 Series by TCL. It has a punch hole display same as the 10 5G. The device features a diagonal reflective rear glass design. It has a quad rear camera setup with 48MP main sensor. It also has a rear mounted physical fingerprint scanner for biometric security. The company has not revealed any further information about the devices, yet. TCL is expected to fully launch the 10 series in late february.
