Chinese smartphone manufacturer Vivo has been experimenting with various ways to get rid of the notch on displays, while maximising the front screen area. Its experimental approach led to the development of the Vivo NEX Dual Display smartphone, or the Vivo NEX 2, which features a secondary OLED display at the back of the phone.
Aside from featuring a 5.49 inch Full HD display on its back, another big highlight of Vivo NEX Dual Display Edition is its 10GB RAM. The phone is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 and has a 128GB internal storage.
The front display comes with an in display fingerprint sensor. The phone comes with a standard 6.39 inch Full HD+ display on its front. NEX Double Display gets a triple camera setup at the rear which consists of a 12MP main camera with 4 axis OIS, a secondary 2MP shooter and a third 3D ToF Camera.
The phone is fueled by a 3,500mAh battery and it runs on Android 9 Pie out of the box. Vivo NEX dual display could be launched roughly a month before the worlds largest gathering for the mobile industry MWC 2019.
