While promoting the Redmi Note 7 via a Weibo post, Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun answered a question related to the Mi 9. Responding to a fan who asked in comments whether the upcoming flagship from Xiaomi Mi 9 will support 24W fast charging, Jun responded to it saying the handset will have better charging than the Redmi Note 7. Redmi Note 7 comes with an 18W fast charging support.
Other Mi 9 specifications leaked till now includes a 6.4 inch full HD+ display with aspect ratio of 19.5:9 and a water drop notch on top of the display. It is also said to have an in display fingerprint scanner, probably containing the optical technology for fingerprint scanner under display.
Xiaomi Mi 9 will run on Android Pie, sport 6GB of RAM and will have a Snapdragon 855 SoC under the hood. The base variant of the phone will come with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of Internal storage. Though much of the configuration about camera and other specs has not been revealed till now. We can expect more leaks to come out in near future.
